Ragnar Relay LA Exchange 19

March 31st, 2010

Ragnar Relay LA Exchange 19, originally uploaded by jennsteria.

This is where I’m supposed to be running 7 miles at 3am. To be followed by my next leg at… 11am. I doubt it’ll be looking like this come race weekend (unless there’s some disturbance in space/time/etc that’ll make the sun shine as brightly).

Mission: My Spring with Griffith Park

March 29th, 2010

Griffith Park, originally uploaded by jennsteria.

Although as far as specific trails are concerned, Westridge Trail will always hold a special place in my heart, as far as the state parks and outdoors close to home are concerned, Griffith Park has totally won me over. I’ve been exploring/trail running various places with friends and am hoping to be able to best capture the whole experience this spring. Why only this Spring? Just thought like it would be a cool way to manage it personal project-wise.

Ragnar Relay Training: First Nighttime Trail Run

March 28th, 2010

Short clip of thoughts on what it’s like to run with a headlamp while multitasking to ignore my childhood fear of the dark. Oh on little sleep and after a 40 minute hike in the AM + 2 mile flat run in the afternoon… Griffith Park after dark. Just try to use your imagination.

Race Report (sort of): LA Marathon

Rather than repost what I already wrote… in case you missed it, only one of the biggest races of my life (so far) occurred last weekend and some interesting developments happened. I wrote my recount on my KSPACE.TV column.

Auto-Tweet and Run iPhone App: Tweet My Distance

March 27th, 2010

OK so I’m a total newbie with my 3GS iPhone and came across this app and was like wow, yet another super cool app that is combining two loves: iPhone AND running AND Twitter – wait that’s three…

Anyway, it’s a free app that works with another free running tracking iPhone app that allows you to automatically tweet your distance and your pace as you run with your iPhone. Good for races, training, etc. so you don’t have to mess with your phone and have it mess up your chi, pace, etc.
