I couldnt agree more. I LOVE racing, but I do feel like every race is an effort to chase that elusive moment of pride, accomplishment, and happiness that I felt as I crossed after my very first one. So far, none have come close. I have had great "race weekends", but as far as the race goes, nothing compares to my first one. I was pretty happy dropping time at one, but STILL didnt feel the same way. I think its because I really trained hard for my first one and never did again for any of the ones that followed. I feel like if i get back on a training schedule I will be much more proud of my accomplishment at the end. Great racing with you girl-you'll get that sub 2, I have no doubt. I am trying to work SF into my schedule. I want to finish the C.D. series!

What a great post JT! I went through a similar epiphany a few weeks back. I'm cutting back on the number of races, but goingfor the quality when I do race. Nothing like that feeling when you cross the finish! See you in a couple weeks!
