There Is No “I” In Ragnar: Checking In With the Ragnar Relay
Ragnar countdown is… not sure but it’s just around the corner. For those of you who don’t know, this Ragnar team has been in the works since probably about December and has FULLY changed team members from predominantly San Francisco runners I knew on twitter to mostly Los Angeles based runners I know through word of mouth and Daily Mile. (Also has gone through three cycles of team captains.)
But wait, that’s not all, they just recently announced the course change and we just repicked our legs. Now I’m training for 19 miles instead of 13.
I have to say that I am super excited about doing this race, probably more than any other that I have lined up this year. The amount of detail and preparation that needs to be had in addition to having to count on pretty much strangers to do their part, SCARY! But scary in a roller coaster kind of way. That and the costumes.
I think we’re still short one person, need costumes and have to do a full round of gear check (and I need to learn how to read a map).
I just glanced at the training plans on the Ragnar site too, looks like I’m due for 3 runs this Saturday. Eff. Oh and I was supposed to be training since December 3rd.
