Punk Rock Racing: This Ain’t Your Grandma’s Racing Gear

Well, it might be your grandma’s racing gear if she were super ultra cool… Finally! I’ve realized a life long dream of mine, having an article of clothing named after me… check out the JT Army Hat by new indie racing line Punk Rock Racing.

I remember my long time twitter friend Ron telling me about the concept not too long ago at a pre-race dinner tweet up: getting cool artists (think Shepard Fairey) to design racing gear so you can kick ass *and* look cool on race day. Long gone will be the pastels, the yoga soccer mom patterns and just godawful bulky tech shirts that look anything but slick. I love this stuff!

They have yet to do an official launch but the site is live so you can see some of the items and designs that are up right now (I less than three this Eagle Tri shirt too – almost makes me want to be a triathlete – ALMOST). I love to wear my PRR hat out and about to scare off the hoodlums from my river route- seriously. Don’t mess with a punk rock racer.
