		<description>That is a very delicate balance to strike. I am lucky in a couple respects - the rest of my family (my social circle) generally isn&#039;t up until late in the morning, so races generally do not impact family time. Also,  I do most of my training in the afternoon/evening, come home much more relaxed and less stressed, so my wife let&#039;s me do it.

I *do* make compromies though - I flex my schedule, I will run in the AM if we have something going on in the PM, and I *will not* schedule a &quot;race&quot; vacation.Vacation is for my family. Not for my selfish interests....</description>
