I was recently given a pair of K-Swiss Konejos to try and me being me, I was more than slightly reluctant to do a run without my Lunarglides. K-Swiss has recently come out with a new and critically acclaimed running shoe line and is making its mark in the running world by being a major sponsor for this year’s LA Marathon.
All marathon sponsorship aside, I took the Konejos out for a 6 mile training run (mile repeats at 10K pace) and although maybe not the brightest idea to run in new shoes at that distance, it was one of the fastest 6 miles I’ve ran in a while. OK, in all honestly these shoes don’t make you fast, I’ve been training my a** off lately, but they definitely didn’t hurt in the process.
Really easy ride, surprising light and flexible for a stability shoe. Love them!
So now I’m officially a shoe convert. Life is strange sometimes.
You can find out more about the Konejo’s on the K-Swiss site, they also have a pretty decent neutral running shoe (the Keahoa).
